Privacy policy

This site (sh-nxn.dev) is my personal portfolio. I try to collect as little data about you as possible, and this page describes exactly what happens when you visit.

What this site does not do

No analytics or tracking scripts (no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no similar tool).
No advertising and no ad cookies.
No account system, no sign-up, no newsletter.
No contact form: getting in touch means emailing me or messaging me directly, which is between you and your own email or social media provider.

What this site does store

Server logs. Like any website, the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure (including Cloudflare) keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, request time) for security and reliability. These are not used to build a profile of you and are kept only as long as the infrastructure provider's own retention period.
Local browser storage. This site uses your browser's own localStorage to remember a couple of hidden, owner-only preferences (used to personalise the site for me, not to track visitors). This data never leaves your browser and is not sent to any server.
Anonymous speed measurement (draft, pending owner sign-off, ticket #2705). This site measures how fast pages load for real visitors (loading time, responsiveness, visual stability) so I can find and fix slow pages. No cookie, no IP address, no visitor identifier - each measurement is just a page path and a number.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP/revDSG), you can ask what data is held about you and request it be corrected or deleted. Given this site does not collect personal data beyond standard technical logs, there is generally nothing to request, but you're welcome to ask.
